Four Greenwich Students Honored With
University of Rochester Awards

GREENWICH – Four Greenwich High School juniors were recently notified that they had been chosen to receive awards from the University of Rochester. 

Paul Crowder was chosen to receive the Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology.  This award is presented in recognition of outstanding achievement in the pursuit of innovative approaches and an appreciation for the possibilities of technology.  Paul is the son of James and Irene Crowder of Greenwich.

Mel Steinberg was awarded the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and superior intellectual promise in the field of science. She is the daughter of Ellen Woodhouse and Dan Pemrick of Greenwich and David Steinberg of Indiana.

Kathleen Isgro was chosen to receive the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award. This award is presented to a student in recognition of outstanding academic achievement in the humanities and/or social sciences. Kathleen is the daughter of Jack and Pat Isgro of Greenwich.

Caitlyn Kuzmich was awarded the George Eastman Young Leaders Award in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and leadership. Caitlyn is the daughter of Chris and Jennifer Kuzmich of Greenwich.

Kyle Keraga Honored with RPI Medalist Award

GREENWICH – Greenwich High School junior Kyle Keraga was recently notified that he has been chosen to receive the Rensselaer Medal Award from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. This award is given to promising juniors who have distinguished themselves in mathematics and science. This $15,000 per year merit scholarship is guaranteed for four years for each Medalist who applies, is accepted, and chooses to enroll at Rensselaer.
